This Year

This has been a crazy busy year. Mostly because we bought a new house which is a much longer process than I thought it would be. At least when you have a big family and toddler.

We started looking for a house in May and found the one we wanted in June. Then it was two months of paperwork and we got the house August 1st. Papa and I spent the next 3 and a half week remodeling, working 18 hour days. Papa slept at the new house and I would come home at night.

Everyone gave a helping hand. Grandma and Mike both came down for a week. You helped knock out a wall with Perseo and Sekoya. As you usually do, you volunteered to give me some extra help which I love. Together we made a plan and a map of the living room and decided where to put the lights in the ceiling.

It’s now October and I’m still working on the house. Last weekend Papa came down and helped me put the lights in the kitchen. This weekend I put in the kitchen floor. Texturing and painting the ceiling is the last of the major work on the interior but I’m sure the little stuff around the house will keep me busy through the winter.

In the late winter and early spring I plan to start landscaping the backyard.

Also at the same time we closed on the new house, the same day in fact, we had our grand opening at Eugene Mindworks. Now that things are slowing down I’m glad I get the write on here and hope to get caught up on some things.

Love you,
Dad
