I just had a heart wrenching dream; a personal biography played out in my head of the of who my father is to me. I was just like a movie, very emotional and even set to music with some scenes in sepia. It ended with my Dad standing in the ruins of an old wood house that was worn to it’s studs and a pile of dust. He stood there smiling and I ran to him and jumped into his arms and to my surprise it was just like I was 5 again. It was from a perspective of him already being gone which brought tears to my eyes when I awoke. I love my Father very much and I think you and I have an even stronger bond that I had with my father when I was growing up. I hope that continues and I hope I’m around when you’re old enough to have your own children.
So much has happened in the last year that I haven’t written about. I know in the end if this blog finds you, you’ll be happy to get every entry. Last year we had an awesome summer camp at the same place I had outdoor school in the 6th grade. That was pretty exciting for me, I felt I was really sharing something about my childhood and even if you don’t recall it later in life those connections will help build the person you will be tomorrow. Aloma and I got married and we’re expecting your little sister. I know more things happened… See, so many things happened and I don’t remember… I’ll come back and make a post about them after I ask Aloma. ) We went to the Wildlife Safari yesterday which was super awesome 🙂 Perseo said it was the coolest thing he ever did in his whole life. I’ll make a post on here after I sort the photos this weekend.
It’s 3:28am… anyway (my Dad would say “any rate”, wonder where he got that from) and I should be getting back to bed. I just wanted to come on and tell you that I have a renewed commitment of writing on here. Today I dropped you off with your Mom and then Aloma, Perseo and Sekoya went to Fiesta, Perseo’s 1st grade concert at the Hult Center in Eugene. I can’t wait to see you next Friday, I’ll be thinking about you all the time till I see you next. Sweet dreams!
